As part of our regulatory mandate, the Commission welcomes complaints from the public on broadcasts and conducts of the Broadcaster that violate the provisions of the Act, the Code and other extant laws in relations to broadcasting.

Your feedback therefore enables the Commission upholds quality broadcasting and protects the interest of all Nigerians.

WHAT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT

  • Content of broadcasts such as hate speech, obscenity, offensive and harmful content, misleading broadcasts and advertisement, biased broadcasts, technical issues, breach of privacy rights, piracy, violation of children’s rights, etc;

  • Conduct of the Broadcaster;

  • Breach of terms, conditions and obligations of broadcast licence;

  • Violations of the Constitution of Nigeria, The NBC Act, The Nigeria Broadcasting Code and other extant laws in relation to broadcasting.

HOW TO LODGE A COMPLAINT

Complaints to the Commission shall be in written or oral form and contains, among others, the following:

  1. Name of the Broadcaster;

  2. Title of the Programme;

  3. Date and time of the broadcast;

  4. Essence of the complaint or observation;

  5. Name, address, telephone number and/or email and signature of the complainant.

DEADLINE FOR COMPLAINTS

Complaints sent to the Commission after 14 (fourteen) days of broadcast/occurrence will no longer be valid.
