THE NATIONAL BROADCASTING COMMISSION AND THE 7-POINT AGENDA The National Broadcasting Commission, in fulfilment of its statutory functions, has aligned its strategic goals to these key priorities of government: 1. Key Govt Priority Power and Energy, Broadcast Strategy A Broadcast Stations are a veritable platform for the dissemination of information on government policies and programmes for the development of the power and energy sector; B Encourage the co-location of broadcast facilities to conserve energy; Expected Outcome More efficient use of power and energy in line with government vision of industrialisation by the year 2015 2. Key Govt Priority Food Security Broadcast Strategy A Community radio licensing will enhance dissemination of information on agricultural research and modern methods; B Encourage broadcast stations to develop enlightenment programmes on food security Expected Outcome Positive Interaction and exchange of information between and among community members for improved farming methods	3.
